A website homepage is one of the most critical elements of any UX design, and any marketing campaign. It's the place where people are convinced to take an interest in your company or product - or the place that they're most likely to be turned off. Given that most people decide within the first 3 seconds whether to continue with your website or not, this is arguably the most important part of an website development.
So what makes a great homepage design? A number of factors come into play. There needs to be a clear statement of intent - what do you do, and why do you do it? There must be clear call to actions that stand apart from the rest of the content. These elements need to be supported by graphics or imagery that highlights them and draws attention, without distracting the user.
